The Weight of Grief

Handling grief can feel like an immense weight is on our shoulders. A weight that leaves no room to breathe and is vast and lonely. It’s important to remember that there will be moments when the weight lifts, and you’ll find the opportunity to take a deep breath and calm down. Use these moments to surround yourself with distractions you love; good music, good company, a light-hearted movie, maybe even a good meal can lift your spirits. There will be days you just float by aimlessly and days when grief’s undertow pulls you into isolation. Remember that we always have the tools to prevent that sinking feeling, we’re never alone.
