It’s Okay if You’re Angry
It’s okay if you’re angry. Angry at the person for dying. Angry at yourself for not saying the right thing. Angry at the doctors for not catching it sooner. Angry at friends for not understanding. Angry at family for grieving differently. Angry at your teachers for expecting you to get on with things. Angry at the world for this whole mess. Write down everything that makes you mad. Don’t think about it too much. Don’t worry about spellings or neatness. Use colors if it feels right. Scribble and cross things out when you need to. Let your anger bubble up and flow onto the page. Let yourself shout. Let yourself cry. Punch a pillow if it all gets too much. Then punch it again.
