Release the “Shoulds”

Our world has been in disarray from COVID-19 since March. If you’re like me and have a paper calendar, the following months look strange, empty, and not even representative of our own lives.

Spend time going back through your calendar. Look at each day; try to remember what each day was like and what it “should” have been like.

Release the “shoulds.”

Burn the pages to ashes, submerge them in water, shove them in your garbage disposal, or give them a go in your shredder.

Choose to let them physically go in one of these ways or put the ashes in a locket. Use the locket to carry on the spirits and legacy of those who died close to you heart.

“I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart) I am never without it.” -E.E. Cummings
