Mindfulness Through Touch
Bring your attention to your hands and simply touch the things around you. Be mindful of how these things feel, of how you experience their textures and vibrations through your fingertips.
Touch your skin and hair. A piece of clothing or jewelry you’re wearing. The material of the piece of furniture or object near you. If a family member or close friend is nearby, you might ask for their consent and respectfully touch them as well. Pay attention to the different feelings all around you.
Move around as you are able and explore other interesting feelings. Let yourself be guided by the awareness in your fingers and their ability to connect your awareness with the world.
When you are done, remember to wash your hands.
